Please join LHS in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Dig Pink /Be the Hope Night is Tuesday, October 3 during the volleyball matches (JV at 6:00 pm, Varsity follows). We will honor all cancer fighters and survivors between matches and will host a Chick-fil-A sponsored hospitality room throughout the evening. Money raised will go to the I.W.I.N. Foundation. "Alice in Wonderland" – October 5, 7, & 8
Saints on Stage present “Alice in Wonderland” October 5 and 7, 7:00 pm, and October 8, 3:00 pm in the Ruth Lilly Auditorium at LHS. Tickets ($10 adult, $5 student/senior) may be purchased online (click here) or in the LHS office weekdays, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
LuFest – Friday, April 13, 2018 at Lucas Oil Stadium
Purchase your LuFest 2018 table of 10 for the discounted price of $1,000 through October 13. Preview Night – October 24
Lutheran High School invites you to Preview Night! All families who want to learn more about the academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, culture, and more should plan to attend. We will start at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 24, in the Ruth Lilly Auditorium. Blood Drive – October 25
LHS holds its fall blood drive on Wednesday, October 25, noon – 4:00 pm. You may get more information or schedule an appointment by calling the school office, 317-787-5474.
Metal/Electronics Recycling and Document Shredding – October 28
Save your metal and support Lutheran High School! On Saturday, October 28, 9:00 am – noon, you may drop off any kind of metal and electronics ($20 donation per TV or monitor) to be recycled and documents to be securely shredded ($5/box donation suggested). Click here for more information.
Sugarplum Holiday Fair, October 28
Do you have a hand-made craft or other product you would like to sell? Reserve a booth today for the 5th Annual Sugarplum Holiday Fair, Saturday, October 28, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at Lutheran High School. State Employees can support LHS through payroll deductions
The State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) runs August 31 – November 3. This campaign gives State employees the opportunity to donate to non-profit organizations through payroll deductions. Neighborhood Songfest – Old Time Gospel Music Sing-Along, Sunday, September 24 at Christ Lutheran Church of Irvington, 345 N Kitley Ave, Indianapolis 46219. Refreshments 5:00 pm; Sing-along 5:30-7:00.
Little Wings Childcare at St. John Lutheran Church & School has employment opportunities. Multiple shifts available, hours between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Applicants need to be energetic and outgoing, and enjoy teaching young children about Jesus, playing outside, and doing crafts. You will need your own transportation. All workers must have background checks (more information will be given by the director). An application is available online here.
The Emmaus Blue Ribbon Dinner Auction will be held at the Valle Vista Golf Club, 755 E Main St, Greenwood on Sunday, October 1, beginning at 4:30 pm. Funds raised will benefit the educational ministry at Emmaus Lutheran School. Make your reservations by September 22. See menu and more information here.
