Lutheran High School of Indianapolis officially opened its doors on August 30, 1976, as a school for Christ-centered secondary education to fourteen students in grades 9 and 10. Since that time, it has experienced steady growth and there are currently 217 students enrolled under the able guidance of over 17 faculty members. From the school's inception, the beacon has steadfastly remained.
