Recent Events Saints Earn Three Trophies at ICC Competition The Saints cheerleaders had their best performance yet at the 3rd Annual ICC Cheerleading Competition. The competition took place on February 25th at Cardinal Ritter High School. The Saints cheerleaders placed in all three categories, taking 3rd in the Timeout Dance, 2nd in the Timeout Cheer and 1st in the Fight Song. The Saints placed 2nd overall.
Saints at the SuperBowl The Saints cheerleaders worked downtown Indianapolis during Super Bowl XLVI weekend to raise money for new uniforms. The cheerleaders worked at four of the official merchandising stores downtown doing everything from stocking shelves, working the cash registers and encouraging fans to come into the store. Four days of long hours (and a lot of fun) downtown was worth it when the new uniforms arrived.
Basketball Season Highlights Nineteen cheerleaders cheered on the Saints basketball team this season. Some season highlights included new uniforms, bus rides, competition make-up, preparing for the ICC competition, bake sales, and working downtown during the Super Bowl. The Saints are sad to say goodbye to nine seniors following this season.
Basketball Mini-Camp On January 28th, the Saints cheerleaders hosted a mini-camp for girls in grades K-4. There were 51 mini-camp cheerleaders in attendance from 12 area grade schools. The cheerleaders enjoyed a morning of learning cheers, dances, chants & jumps and had a lot of fun. The mini-camp cheerleaders joined the Saints cheerleaders at halftime of the home basketball game on February 11th where they performed at halftime.
Past Events Football Season Highlights Sixteen Saints cheerleaders cheered on the football team this season. Between cheering for all home and away football games, painting banners, decorating lockers, celebrating the “Saints Cheerleaders Team of the Week” cheering at the “Dig Pink” volleyball game and planning an “Angry Birds” themed pep rally, the cheerleaders stayed busy this season.
Football Mini Camp On October 8th the Saints cheerleaders welcomed cheerleaders in grades K – 4th to the fall mini-camp. The mini-camp cheerleaders were invited to the home football game on October 14th to perform a cheer and dance with the Saints cheerleaders.
Louie Turns 2 The Saints mascot, Louie the Saint Bernard turned two at the Homecoming game. His birthday celebration was complete with bone-shaped cupcakes and the entire stands singing “Happy Birthday.” Some of Louie’s biggest fans enjoyed the cupcakes with him.
NCA Summer Camp The 2011-2012 Saints cheerleaders held a NCA private cheer camp this summer. The squad received a great deal of individual attention, learned a lot of material and had fun bonding at the lock-in each night.
