Saints Notes August 27, 2010
Its the home opener for the gridiron gang tonight -as they have a tough task in facing the Radiers of Cardinal Ritter High School (#2 in Class 2A). The new Saints team played well against Beech Grove last week (another conference rival in the Indiana Crossroads Conference), but not good enough as the Saints lost by a single point.
It's a beautiful evening for a ballgame - and every evening of Friday Night Lights is something to look forward to experiencing - hope you join us!
Then tomorrow (August 28) be sure to stop by campus between 2 and 7pm for the Kristi's Games - a family fun focused event with lots of games and activities for all ages. There will be food and entertainment to go with the variety of activities - so be sure to stop in. The Games are named for Kristi Broughton - who served as a Lutheran High Cheerleading coach and taught at Emmaus Lutheran School. Kristi and her husband Leon have three children, all of them Lutheran High School alumni. Kristi was killed by a drunk driver in September, 2001.
These games were her vision during her lifetime - now they live on in her memory. The ninth edition of the Games will provide support for Saints Athletics and the programs of area Lutheran Schools.
Check out the Kristi's Games facebook page and stop by Saturday between 2 and 7p. See you then! |
