LuFest 2012, our 30th annual Dinner Auction, is rapidly approaching. Join us on Saturday, March 10 at the Indianapolis Marriott East for this fun celebration. New this year is the Spirit of LuFest. Make your plans now to come to Maple Creek Golf & Country Club on Saturday, February 18, 6:00 pm for a four course meal and a Craft Beer tasting courtesy of Monarch Beverage. Enjoy the music of Creedo, learn about some of the items that will be up for bid at LuFest, and enjoy the fellowship of the Saints extended family. Spirit Day at Max & Erma's is coming up soon! On Thursday, January 19, plan to eat at the Max & Erma's in Carmel or Indianapolis. The Lutheran High School cheerleaders will host a cheerleading camp for girls in grades K - 4 on Saturday, January 28, 9:00 am - noon (with check-in beginning at 8:30 am). The cost for the camp is just $20 and includes a t-shirt, snack and admission to a LHSI home basketball game where campers will be invited to perform with the high school cheerleaders. The LHSI Theatre Department presents John, His Story on Saturday, February 11, 6:30 pm and Sunday, February 12, 1:00 pm. Join us in the Mary-Martha Commons for this Dinner Theatre. Tickets are $25 for adults and $17 for students and may be purchased at the school.
Lutheran High School will host an outlined preview night and tour for students interested in attending LHSI in the near future (and their parents) on Wednesday, February 15. Please meet us here on campus at 6:30 pm and be our guest for the evening. Enjoy some tasty snacks, hear how to earn credits for college, and enjoy listening to a performance by our Jazz Band. Students, parents, teachers, and staff will be on hand to answer questions about academics, fine arts, activities, clubs, sports, and more. Come see the limitless opportunities that will have a lasting impact.

The first annual Lutheran Variety Show benefitting LHSI will take place Saturday, March 24, 7:00 pm. Presented by "Credo," the St. Paul's Lutheran Men's Quintet, it will be held in the Ruth Lilly Auditorium. The State Employees’ Community Campaign is the annual charity campaign administered by state employees. The SECC allows state employees to contribute to any charity that has a 501 (c)(3) ruling through either a one-time contribution or the convenience of payroll deductions.

We are participating in the Marsh “Fresh Ideas for Education” program. This program is designed to help us earn much needed educational equipment for our school. This equipment will be used by our students to further enhance their education and we need your help.
Here’s just how easy it is!
- Make sure you have a Marsh Fresh Idea card, O’Malia’s CouponPlus card or MainStreet Market Reward$ card. If you do not, please get one at any Marsh Customer Service Counter or on-line at www.marsh.net.
- You may also sign up for our school or change schools at www.marsh.net. LHSI's code is 28829.
- After you register, when you shop at Marsh and use your Fresh Idea card, O’Malia’s CouponPlus card or MainStreet Market Reward$ card our school will automatically receive credit.
- You only have to register once and from September 1, 2011 until March 31, 2012 our school will earn credit!
Recycle in the dark blue bin in the parking lot. It can accept #1-7 plastic water and pop bottles (rinsed), steel and aluminum cans, glass bottles/jars (rinsed), cardboard, boxboard, paper bags, and phone books. Republic Services continues to pay us for aluminum cans received, but will accept these other recyclables. No trash, please.
Please continue to put regular paper, including shredded paper and newsprint in our Abitibi Recyling bin since they pay us for paper received.

Community Events:
- Living Christ Lutheran Church 2nd annual Italian Night will be Friday, January 27, 4:30-7:00 pm. The menu includes a choice of spaghetti with sauce and/or meatballs, fettuccini alfredo, lasagna, or a sampler platter; salad; breadstick; dessert; and drinks. Reservations are $9 adults, $5 children under 12, $65 table of 8 ($10 and $6 after January 25. - A private Foundation has recently been established to assist private care givers of orphans and/or foster children in the state of Indiana.
The Foundation's members are actively seeking Christian families who have graciously opened their homes and their hearts to the orphaned children of this world to support them not only financially, but emotionally and spiritually as well. The Foundation is seeking to make a long term investment in these children and needs the help of the Christian community. If you are aware of: Current orphan/foster care providers who are registered with the State of Indiana to legally provide foster care; who are a legal resident of the State of Indiana; and who are Christians with a compassionate heart; then the Foundations and its members would like to personally meet you. The Foundation is looking forward to creating this beautiful beginning with your help.
