Saints Notes     October 21, 2011

The calendar or the time has gotten away from me lately, and I'm sorry I have not updated this blog in a while.  (Not that I think for one second that anyone is actually waiting for some kind of message, but there has been a good number of visit to this blog and my goal is to post a new one at least once a week.)

This weekend is a busy one on campus - home football game and first sectional game as we play West Washington High School tonight (Tickets are $6); tomorrow morning the Saints Girl's Volleyball team plays Southwestern at noon for the right to play in the Sectional Final at 7pm.  Both of those games, plus the other Semi-final (Edinburgh v, Morristown) are all in the Meyer Financial Strategies Gymnasium.  Tickets are $5 or get both sessions for $8.

Saturday evening and Sunday morning - students and staff will be worshipping at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Avon for one of our Lutheran High Sunday visits.  We do these visits to thank the congregation and individual members for their prayer and financial support and also let parents and prospective students know what we have to offer.for them here at LHSI.

We are blessed again this year at Lutheran with many gifts of prayer and financial support from many of you.  Thank you for the support you give to the students and faculty, it lifts them up as they carry on in this ministry to teen-agers.

After tonight's tussel on the gridiron, I'm heading up to Ball State tomorrow to watch a home game with my son (LHSI, 2008) who is a student there.  If he stays on schedule - he only has one more football season left to watch as a student and its fun to watch a college game in person, no matter what the score is (although a win or close-contest is preferred).
