Dedicated on May 3, 1998, the Ruth Lilly Auditorium is the premiere performance space for LHS students, families, and the community. Named in honor of Ruth Lilly in gratitude for a lead $1 Million gift from the Lilly Endowment, the auditorium is suited to host a variety of worship services, student performances, and other community presentations and activities. It features a proscenium and thrust stage for a variety of performing arts and event use. Seating for 476 audience members as well as professional sound and lighting equipment give our students and audiences the best possible experience. It also features an orchestra pit and a versatile lighting grid to allow for a number of configurations. The auditorium hosts theatre performances, concerts, special speaker events, assemblies, and award ceremonies, as well as the weekly chapel gathering for all of our students.
The auditorium and other facilities, including the scene shop, dressing rooms, auditorium lobby and concession stand, as well as other spaces in the building, are available for rent by groups in our community. For information on renting please contact Matthew Frick at mfrick@lhsi.org.
