A majority of our students are invested in campus life which enhances their overall school experience, and results in improved academic performance. Lutheran High School encourages all students to get involved outside the classroom in a variety of activities.

The Arts at LHS

The visual and performing arts at Lutheran High School place a strong emphasis on encouraging students to use their God-given talents and abilities – and to develop these to their fullest. There are visual art classes, as well as AP classes furthering the understanding of design. Student art is displayed at the school and in other venues. Music opportunities include Chamber Choir (regular performances and a spring tour), Band (performances and tour as well), Vocal Ensemble, Praise Band, Music Theory, and Piano class. Saints On Stage (LHS Theatre) present a Fall Play and Spring Musical and more. The performances challenge students and allow them to learn about acting and technical theatre.

Student Groups, Clubs, and Activities

There is something for everyone here at Lutheran High School. Students often lead the ideas behind our clubs and learn to take leadership to work with a Faculty Advisor to form their clubs. Some of our current clubs at LHS include:

  • Donuts and Devotions | Wednesday mornings
    • This semester: Does the Christian faith stand up under scrutiny? Ready to give a reasoned defense for anyone who asks why you believe what you do? Been Confirmed, but have unanswered questions about the Bible and Jesus? Then join us for our new Wednesday morning Bible Study: Apologetics 101 with Pr Mierow. We gather at 8a on late start Wednesdays in the Ruth Lilly Auditorium Commons. Grab a donut and stay for the study and discussion.
  • Saints4Life
  • Academic Teams, including Hoosier Spell Bowl and Academic Super Bowl
  • National Honor Society (Juniors and Seniors)
  • Student Council (two reps from each class + senior leadership positions)
  • Yearbook Committee
  • Prom Committee
  • and more

More than 95% of the student body is involved in at least one activity – what will be yours?
