Head Coach - Dave Pasch
Dave Pasch is the head coach at Lutheran High School of Indianapolis. Pasch is the program's second head coach, taking charge of the Saints before the 2008 season, in only the program's third year, from Hall of Fame coach Ray Schultz, who helped start and lead the Saints' inaugural seasons. Coach Pasch, in his second season at the helm, led Lutheran to its first ever IHSAA Football Sectional Championship and an Elite 8 appearance in only the program's fourth year of varsity football. In the 2014 season, the program reached it's 1st Final-Four appearance. Lutheran Football recently won its 6th consecutive Indiana Crossroads Conference championship, Coach led the Saints to their 11th Sectional Championship (2014, '15, '16, '17, ‘18, ‘19, ‘21, ’22, ’23, ’24) and the programs 9th Final-Four appearance, as well as leading the Saints to trips to Lucas Oil Stadium as the 2019 State Runner-Up, and winning three consecutive State Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons. During the seasons of 2021 through 2024, the Saints amassed an historical 45 consecutive game win streak that was the 2nd longest active streak in the country, and ended as the 3rd longest in Indiana football history. Most impressively, Saints Football has been recognized as the National Football Foundation Indiana Academic State Champion for 2021, 2022, and 2024 for which each team achieved an accumulative 3.5 GPA.
A Brownsburg, IN. native, and state champion team member, Coach Pasch’s football career embodies success having been awarded the IFCA 1A Coach of the Year, named the Motorola Indianapolis Colts 2A Indiana Coach of the Year, the Indiana Football Digest Griddy’s 2A Indiana Coach of the Year, the Midwest Publications 2A Indiana Coach of the Year, the WVFCA Coach of the Year, IFCA Region 6 and Region 7 Coach of the Year, twice the Indianapolis Star Marion County Coach of the Year, and the Indianapolis Colts Indiana Coach of the Week. Coach Pasch was named the 2021 Head Coach for the Indiana South All-Star Football Team, which won the game scoring the most points ever scored in the game, and winning by the largest margin of victory in game history. He also has had the privilege of serving as the Head Coach for WVFCA All-Star Team and has been distinguished for serving as a member of the Indiana All-Star coaching staff on three separate occasions.
Coach Pasch has served countless players who have attained All-State and All-Star stature, as well as cultivating players for the college ranks at every level of play from NCAA Division 3 to Division 1A football, and at major conferences such as the Big Ten, Big 12, and including having coached an eventual 1st round draft pick in the NFL. Coach Pasch formerly served North Putnam High School as Head Coach for eleven years, leading them to appearances in the Semi-state, Regional, Sectional championships, and Conference championships. Prior to his time at North, he was an assistant coach at Indianapolis Decatur Central High School for four years, and an assistant at Yorktown High School for three years. Dave has been an active Coaching Member of the Indiana Football Coaches Association for 35 seasons, serving in various leadership and administrative roles.
Dave is a graduate of Ball State University and Brownsburg High School. Coach Pasch’s four children are all alumni of LHS. John who played football at DePauw University and presently serves LHS as the schools strength coach, teacher, and coaches football and track, Erin who graduated from DePauw University where she ran track and was a 3-time NCAA All-American Heptathlete , now attends IU school of Dentistry, Jackson who is a workforce professional and has helped coach LHS Track and Wrestling, and Jake, a who was a Mr. Football Indiana Position winner as a DB in 2021, attends Wabash College and is an all-conference football player.
